LAHORE:National College of Arts (NCA) hosted a special ceremony in the honour of 200 Sikh yatrees from Canada as part of the celebrations for the 555th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora attended the event as chief guest. During the event, the NCA presented a documentary showcasing the college's rich heritage, followed by another archival documentary that highlighted the contributions of Sikh students during the Mayo School of Arts era.
In his address, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora emphasised that the Sikh community considers Pakistan as their second home, as it is home to the Gurdwaras of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji and other prominent Sikh Gurus. He mentioned that every year, Pakistan sets an example of excellent hospitality towards the Sikh yatrees. He also assured that this year, top-notch arrangements have been made for the visitors, including accommodation, security, and other facilities, ensuring they feel at home.
