LAHORE: Four police officers were dismissed over corruption and power abuse.
Acting on the instructions of DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, SSP Operations issued the dismissal orders following a thorough inquiry.
According to the DIG Operations spokesperson, Head Constable M Nawaz and Constables Imtiaz, Humair-ul-Hassan, and Nauman Sajid were found guilty and were dismissed from service based on the inquiry report.
The inquiry revealed that on November 5, when residents of Charsadda, Mustafa and Idris, returned to the bus station after shopping, the cops took them to an undisclosed location under the pretense of a security check and extorted Rs85,000 from them.
