SUKKUR: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday, addressing the Babul Islam Conference in Sukkur, said the people’s mandate was stolen in the February 8 elections, adding that JUI-F’s National Assembly seats were reduced from 16 to 8.
He said that the JUI-F rejected the elections as manipulated, adding that the national as well as foreign observers also termed the elections ‘fake’. He asked the government to step down and handover reins of the government to JUI-F. “We will bring prosperity and development in the country.”
He said that only the people of Sindh have the right to the resources of Sindh, adding that no one else has the right to usurp the rights of the people of Sindh.
“If any movement starts, I will be at the forefront. I want to tell the establishment and arrogant politicians to get out of the way, we will take care of the country.
Accept your failure, the country is bleeding due to wrong method of governance,” he said. The JUIF chief further said the country was being pushed into anarchy, adding that state is losing its writ and the country was heading towards blind alley.
