LAHORE:A meeting on LDA revenue generation was held under the chairmanship of LDA DG Tahir Farooq here on Thursday.
In the meeting, Director Finance Kashif Imran gave a briefing on the achievement of the revenue target. Director Auction said that LDA has crossed the Rs2 billion mark in the auction for the first time. Director Auction said that the last date to participate in the lottery of residential plots in Jubilee Town, Tajpura and Johar Town is December 25. Citizens can pay in 12 equal installments over three years. The plots included in the lottery are fully developed at attractive locations.
Chief Town Planner One Asad-uz-Zaman and Chief Town Planner Azhar Ali gave a briefing on their respective areas. DG reviewed the performance of all directors of town planning individually. Tahir Farooq directed that action should be taken against commercial fee defaulters under a zero tolerance policy. No commercial activity should be allowed on eight commercialised properties without commercialisation. DG asked all directors to submit a detailed report of illegal commercial activities in their respective areas within the next three days. He directed that all directors of town planning should ensure digital mapping of illegal commercial properties. All directors of town planning should ensure achievement of their respective targets.
Meanwhile, LDA teams took action against encroachments in Johar Town, G1 Market, Khokhar Chowk and Canal Bank Road. LDA Enforcement Squad removed encroachments around G1 Market, parking area, temporary and permanent encroachments from several properties.
