KARACHI: Governor Balochistan Jafar Khan Mandukhel has said that in order to present the image of new Balochistan in a positive manner there is a need to take advantage of the immense talent of Balochistan's canoeing players.
He was speaking at the closing ceremony of Governor Balochistan National Canoeing Championship at Hanna Lake, Quetta the other day. “The lack of modern infrastructure for sports according to international standards is being felt acutely in Balochistan, especially in Quetta,” said the governor.
It is to be noted that the championship was held under the supervision of Balochistan Canoeing Association. The governor appreciated the efforts of Shahzada Hayatullah Khan Durrani, who is secretary of Pakistan Canoe and Kayak Federation, for promoting this sport in the province. Later, the governor distributed certificates among the athletes who performed prominently in the sailing competitions.
