One of our most important political parties, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), celebrated its 57th Foundation Day nationwide in a grand style. The party was founded by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in November 1967; it has witnessed its highs and lows since that date. In this day and age, I would advise the party to adhere to the key principles of justice, equality, and empowerment for the people, as enshrined in the party’s constitution.
Even more important is the fact that the PPP should remain a part of the present government and any future coalition governments (with like-minded political parties and other forces) so that the vision of a re-born, positive, vibrant, and prosperous Pakistan may be realised for present and future generations.
