Proper disposal

Friday, Dec 13, 2024

Pakistan generates around 20 million tons of solid waste annually, with only 40 per cent being properly collected and disposed of. Improper waste management has serious consequences for the environment, including water pollution, soil contamination, and air pollution.

While the government has taken steps to improve waste collection in major cities, it is essential for the public to play their part. Individuals must dispose of waste responsibly rather than discarding it on streets, roads, or outside their homes. We need to learn that even small actions can have significant impacts on the environment.
