Rickshaw driver held for assaulting schoolgirl

LAHORE: A rickshaw driver sexually assaulted a schoolgirl in the Shalimar area.

The police shifted the victim to the hospital for medical assistance and arrested the accused Lazar Masih. Police said that the 15-year-old (M) went to school with her younger sister. The accused picked the girl from school under the false pretense of her father's accident and sexually assaulted her in front of her younger sister.

Two rape suspects held: Gulberg police have arrested two men accused of raping a woman in a private hotel and blackmailing her with video footage.

According to police, the suspects, Abdul Rehman and Shabbir, lured the victim to a private hotel about five months ago under false pretenses. They drugged her, repeatedly assaulted her, and filmed the acts. Subsequently, other accomplices of the suspects used the footage to blackmail the victim, continuing the abuse in the form of gang rape. After the victim filed a complaint, police registered a case and arrested Abdul Rehman and Shabbir.

The woman had called 15, reporting daily abuse, damage to household belongings, and seeking urgent police intervention. The police ensured her safety, registered a case, and apprehended the accused.
