Islamabad:Upon assuming charge as Inspector General, National Highways and Motorway Police Riffat Mukhtar Raja was warmly welcomed by the local dignitaries of Islamabad, says a press release.
They presented him floral bouquets as a gesture of good will. On this occasion members from business community of Islamabad and government officials expressed confidence in his ability to enhance the performance of the Motorway Police and improve travel facilities for the commuters.
Previously IG, Riffat Mukhtar was serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, his appointment was made under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act 1973.The appointment is seen as a step towards further strengthening the NH&MP, ensuring better traffic management, road safety, and public service delivery.
