ISLAMABAD: Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam met JUIF chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed various issues, including Pak-Iran relations, regional situation and the aggression of illegitimate state of Israel against the Palestinians, according to a statement by a JUIF spokesperson.

The Iranian ambassador expressed gratitude to Maulana Fazlur Rehman for his party’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and its efforts in organising Gaza solidarity rallies across the country. Reza Amiri Moghaddam emphasized the importance of consulting Ulema like Maulana Fazlur Rehman on key issues.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman called on the Muslim Ummah, particularly countries like Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Malaysia, to take concrete measures in support of the people of Gaza and against Israel while collectively raising their voices against the aggressor. “We, with the support of the people of Pakistan, have buried the conspiracy to recognise Israel,” Maulana Fazlur Rehman said.
