ISLAMABAD: Employees of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital have been entitled to allotment of official houses from the Estate Office pool.
The ministry of housing and works has informed about this decision in a letter to the DG Estate Office, Islamabad.
The letter said secretary housing and works has declared workers of PIMS Hospital eligible for allotment of official residences of the Estate Office. Under Rule 4(2) of Accommodation Allotment Rules, 2002, PIMS administration will surrender houses of its colony or pool to the pool of the Estate Office within 15 days. The employees residing in the colony can continue to stay there as per policy of the ministry. They can now register themselves in the general waiting list of Estate Office.
The Estate Office will not allot official residence to those PIMS employees working in other departments on deputation. The PIMS administration will send its general waiting list to the Estate Office.
The data of allotment of PIMS residences will be shared with the Estate Office. The workers will be required to obtain NOC from Estate Office on retirement. Maintenance of the colony and payment of utility bills will be the responsibility of PIMS administration.
