WEXNET 2025, Pakistan’s largest women-exclusive exhibition, highlighted the talent of 200 women entrepreneurs, offering them a platform to promote their businesses, foster cross-sector collaborations and explore export opportunities.

The three-day event -- closing today (Sunday) -- designed to elevate women’s entrepreneurship, spotlighted the export potential of women-led enterprises and aimed to enhance regional and international partnerships.

The event featured high-profile meetings on its opening day, with Federal Secretary of Commerce Jawad Paul and Secretary of TDAP Sheryar Taj engaging in discussions focused on boosting export prospects and empowering women entrepreneurs.

Notable figures included Vice President of Li & Fung Pakistan Umar Bin Asad who explored export opportunities with global buying houses, and various provincial representatives, including Saira Atta from Balochistan’s Women development department and Quratulain, vice president of the FPCCI.

On day two, further collaboration was encouraged, with the TDAP secretary meeting with key stakeholders such as Arshia Bano from USAID Punjab and Sadaffe Abid, founder of Circle, who discussed tech-driven initiatives to support women entrepreneurs. Engagements continued with Ayesha Farooqi of the Handicrafts Association of Pakistan, and prominent figures like Farah Bashir, founder of the Women Chamber of Commerce, Dera Ghazi Khan and Salam Ullah from United Motors, exploring new export markets across Africa, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

WEXNET 2025 underscored the growing significance of women in Pakistan’s economic landscape, facilitating valuable networking opportunities and reinforcing the role of women entrepreneurs in driving national economic growth.
