LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi paid a surprise visit to Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, to review the ongoing upgradation and finishing work ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
During his inspection, Naqvi expressed satisfaction with the progress made at the iconic venue and directed officials to expedite the remaining tasks, particularly the drainage work and other final touches. He emphasized the importance of completing the project swiftly, ensuring that Gaddafi Stadium is fully equipped with world-class facilities by the end of the month.
Highlighting the improvements, the PCB Chairman stated: Brand-new, comfortable seats are being installed to enhance the viewing experience. Work on modern LED lights for the stadium towers is progressing rapidly. Fans can look forward to exciting laser light displays during night matches. And Upgraded scoreboards with advanced features are being installed, he added.
“These upgrades will transform Gaddafi Stadium into a state-of-the-art venue, offering an unparalleled experience for players and spectators. We are committed to making the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 a memorable event in Pakistan,” Naqvi added.
“With the ICC Champions Trophy just weeks away, Gaddafi Stadium is being primed to host some of the tournament’s most anticipated matches. The PCB’s proactive measures underline its commitment to delivering an exceptional cricketing spectacle on home soil.
