Islamabad: A wounded pangolin was released back into the Margalla Hills National Park after successful treatment and rehabilitation at the Rescue Centre of the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board.

The toothless scaly anteater was recently found injured by a woman in Sector F-7/4 who promptly handed it over to IWMB officials. The pangolin was then transferred to the IWMB Rescue Centre for immediate medical care.

IWMB officials said experts at the centre provided the necessary treatment to ensure a full recovery for the pangolin, followed by rehabilitation. They added that on full healing, the pangolin was released into its natural habitat in the Margalla Hills National Park, where it would continue to contribute to the local ecosystem. The officials urged people to support the IWMB’s wildlife conservation efforts and raise awareness about protecting endangered species in the area.
