PESHAWAR/PARACHINAR: Bunkers in Kurram could not be demolished despite directives by Deputy Commissioner Kurram Ashfaq Khan.
According to Geo News, the deputy commissioner had issued an order on Saturday for the demolition of bunkers in every village belonging to both parties.
He had instructed the Communication and Works Department executive engineer to carry out the demolition of the bunkers.
The official had announced the demolition of bunkers in Balishkhel and Khaar Killay but the orders were yet to be implemented.
When contacted, the deputy commissioner declined to comment on the failure to demolish the bunkers.
It was learnt that one party had requested a two-day extension for the demolition of the bunkers.
Meanwhile, addressing a press conference trader leaders., including Jafar Hussain, Liaquat Hussain, Nasir Hussain, Muntazir Akbar, Manzoor Hussain, and Mohsin Ali said that their trucks had been stuck up in Thall for three weeks.
They said 160 trucks were laden with goods and they were facing problems with that. The traders said they would start a protest on Monday if the convoy facility was not provided.
