LAHORE: The health professionals of Lahore General Hospital have successfully completed the bronchoscopy procedure of 10-year-old Minahil.
The procedure was done under the supervision of MS Dr Faryad Hussain who is also Associate Professor of Pediatric Medicine. Talking in this regard, Ameer Uddin Medical College Principal Prof Dr M Al-Fareed Zafar said that the Punjab CM was taking personal interest in the treatment of children and allocated a state-of-the-art operation theatre in LGH while advancing her vision bronchoscopy for adults and children has also been started.
MS Dr Faryad Hussain told that Minahil had been complaining of fever and weight loss for the past three months on which the girl's parents took her to different hospitals but she could not recover.
Being worried, her parents brought her to LGH where the doctors did a detailed check-up and after administering medicines and diagnostic tests they prescribed bronchoscopy.
Dr Faryad said that samples were taken from the lungs of patient Minahil and sent to the lab to find out other diseases apart from TB.
He told that in the light of the diagnostic report, regular treatment of Minahil was started free-of-cost.
