LAHORE: A citizen and a robber were killed in a violent robbery in the Raiwind area on Sunday.
Three armed robbers targeted Nadeem, manager of a private company, and snatched Rs900,000 from him. When Nadeem resisted, the robbers shot him dead.
One of the robbers, identified as Intezaar, was injured in the incident due to gunfire from his own accomplices and died instantly. Nadeem, a resident of Bahawalnagar, had come to Lahore to collect money for the company. Police shifted the bodies to morgue.

Nishtar Colony police apprehended inter-district drug dealer Saleem, a resident of Kasur, with 10-kg of hashish at Azam Chowk.
In Mustafabad, police arrested wanted fugitive Sajid, who had been on the run for two years in connection with robbery and burglary cases. Shadbagh police reunited a three-year-old girl with her family, while Badamibagh police returned a seven-year-old boy, Behlool, who had been abandoned. Additionally, Dolphin Squad arrested habitual criminal Asif in Garden Town, linked to over 60 mobile snatching cases.
Fugitive extradited from abroad: A criminal involved in an attempted murder case was extradited from South Africa to Pakistan. Arsalan Ashraf, who had been on the run since 2022, was wanted in connection with a violent attack that took place at Wahndo Police Station in Gujranwala.
The arrest was made possible through the issuance of Red Notices by Interpol.
