Community leader Raja Muhammad Iqbal Khan passes away

LUTON: Raja Muhammad Iqbal Khan, a former district councillor and chairman from Sarhota No 2, Kotli, Azad Kashmir, passed away in Luton on Saturday.

He leaves a significant legacy marked by his selfless dedication to community development. His funeral prayers were held at Jamia Islamia Ghousia in Luton, presided over by Allama Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti MBE.

The service was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including Bedford MP Raja Muhammad Yasin, Lord Qurban Hussain, former Deputy Leader of Luton Council Raja Muhammad Aslam Khan, General Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party UK Azahar Iqbal Brawlvi, academic Jameel Ahmed, Professor Javed, several former mayors of Luton, and former Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Raja Qurban, alongside thousands of mourners representing diverse communities from across the United Kingdom.Speakers delivered heartfelt tributes to Raja Muhammad Iqbal Khan, underscoring his unparalleled contributions to welfare and development in the Kotli district.
