KARACHI: Shell Pakistan Limited has officially changed its name to Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited, effective January 13, 2025.
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) issued a certificate of incorporation for the name change, the company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.
Wafi Energy Holding Limited successfully acquired 187.86 million ordinary shares, representing approximately 87.78 per cent of the company’s total issued share capital. This acquisition was completed through a share purchase agreement (SPA) dated October 31, 2023. Also, a mandatory tender offer was extended to the remaining shareholders of the company.
