ISLAMABAD: The Tehreek Tahafuz Aiyeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP) Thursday decided to enhance coordination and engage with other like-minded political parties, including the Grand Democratic Alliance, Awam Pakistan party and JUI-Sherani.
Its President Mehmood Khan Achakzai presided over a meeting of the conglomeration here at the chamber of Leader of Opposition Omar Ayub Khan here at the Parliament House. The forum took stock of the prevailing political and parliamentary situation, whereas Omar Ayub briefed the coalition partners on the proceedings of the recent negotiations committee meeting.
The TTAP leaders exchanged views on upcoming strategies and reinforced their commitment to advancing the negotiations committee’s charter of demands.
Opposition leaders pledged to escalate protests both inside and outside of the Parliament for the release of all political prisoners, including the Founding Chairman Imran Khan.
The meeting emphasized improving diplomatic ties with Afghanistan and fostering regional peace through enhanced trade and effective diplomacy. The participants welcomed the ceasefire in Gaza and condemned Israel’s continued failure to achieve its objectives despite global support. Besides, the Opposition leader, former speaker Asad Qaiser, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and MWM Chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas participated in the session. Zartaj Gul, MNA Adil Bazai, MNA Ali Muhammad Khan, and Akhunzada Hussain were also in attendance.
Meanwhile, Omar Ayub has asked that those who built properties worth billions will raise questions about the Founder of PTI.
While talking to the media along with opposition leaders outside the parliament, he said that protests were ongoing in the assembly. He pointed out that under the NCA agreement, the money was transferred to the government’s account. What is the involvement of the founder of PTI and Bushra Bibi in the agreement? He said that Hassan Nawaz had declared bankrupt and should respond to it in the UK, the government should respond to our demands within seven days.
The PTI leader said that there is an energy crisis in Pakistan while today the capacity payment has reached one thousand billion rupees, alleging this happened because of the agreements of the Nawaz Sharif government.
