Thousands celebrate Gaza peace deal in Karachi

Thousands of Karachiites along with their families gathered on Shahrah-e-Quaideen to celebrate the Gaza peace deal and victory of resistance forces in Gaza against Israeli occupation.

Addressing the participants, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) emir Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman hailed Palestinians over 470 days of resistance in Gaza against rogue Israel and said that the genocide by Israel in the strip exposed both the Western democracies and the Muslim leaderships in the world.

He said that unfortunately the Muslim countries opted to remain silent, practically supporting the Zionist Israel and its genocide. He said that after the peace deal, the Israeli ministers were crying and the freedom fighters in Gaza were celebrating over the defeat of Israel in Gaza.

Technology, missiles, Iron Dome and respect of Israel all were destroyed by the freedom fighters. He said that after the defeat of Israel in Gaza, a nefarious game for recognition of Israel will be renewed. He warned the Pakistani rulers and decision-makers of the nation’s rage if they showed any soft corner for Israel.

He said that prior to October 7, 2023, several countries in the Middle East at the behest of the United States were acknowledging Israel, but the initiative by Hamas totally reversed the situation. He said the freedom fighters defeated Israel in all the dimensions — be it political or war zone.

Naeemur Rehman also shed light on the cowardice and flawed policies of former dictator Pervez Musharraf. He said the time has proved that the policies based on cowardice have further destabilized the country and those in the region who had resisted against the US were welcomed by a great future.

He hailed Karachi and Karachiites for siding with the freedom fighters of Hamas. He urged the nation to support the JI’s initiative to rebuild Gaza and continue the boycott of Israeli products and the products of those countries that were siding with Israel.

He said the capitalism has taken the world in its clutches and exploited the larger majority of people to facilitate very few, but on the other hand, Islam is a global system that favours humanity.

Khaled Qadomi of Hamas in his televised address said that Gaza proved to be Vietnam of Israel. He added that Israel opted to retreat due its heavy military losses in the strip. He said Israel displaced 90 percent population of Gaza, killed around 50 thousand innocent unarmed people – majority of them women and children -- but it couldn’t defeat the resolve of the Palestinian Muslims.

JI Karachi emir Monem Zafar said that the October 7, 2023 offensive by the freedom fighters of Palestine defeated Israel despite all its might and support by its allied countries.
