Islamabad:The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) which has taken up project of Margalla Enclave jointly with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will undertake social uplift and development of area and affectees, the CDA sources said.
An official of CDA while talking to ‘The News’ said that they are also engaging the local community and affectees to address their concerns and improve the trust deficit assuring that agreement made with them would be fulfilled.
The CDA and DHA last week launched sale of five marla, 10 marla and one kanal plots in ‘Margalla Enclave’ giving options to investors to make payments in installment in one to three years. The cost of plots also include development charges.
The sources said that DHA management is also chalking out plans for social lift of the area and local community as it did in its other projects with cooperation of other Government agencies in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. “ Not only that the housing scheme will be speedily but there will also be significant change in look of surroundings and as far as roads and movement of traffic is concerned.
It may be pointed that DHA in the past constructed a bridge over Islamabad Expressway to connect DHA-2 and DHA-5 while Soan Bridge was also raised to provide easy excess to DHA-1 Rawalpindi allow smooth flow of traffic on GT Road.
These two projects were undertaken and completed with cooperation of CDA and other Government agencies. On the same pattern uplift of area around Margalla Enclave would also be carried out.
