ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari will visit China in the first week of February, where he will hold formal talks with his Chinese counterpart President Xi Jinping focusing on global and regional issues, including CPEC-2. President Zardari will also visit Harbin, China, where he will attend the Winter Olympics. The president is likely to stay in China from February 5 to 7. During the visit, about two dozen agreements are likely to be signed between the two countries.
According to the sources, the visit was originally scheduled for November 2, 2024, but was postponed on the instructions of doctors after the president sustained a foot injury while boarding a flight at the Dubai Airport.
According to sources, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with other relevant ministries, has begun finalising the agenda and drafting the agreements.
