Rawalpindi: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi, Babar Sarfraz Alpa, conducted an open court at the regional office under the Punjab government’s Open Door Policy. Citizens from across the Rawalpindi region presented their complaints, and immediate action orders were issued for their resolution. Measures are being taken to ensure swift justice at the police station level, and the daily conduct of open courts aims to provide prompt relief to the public, stated RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa.
During the open court, Aamir Hayat from Attock filed a request regarding the incorrect application of legal sections in a case, upon which the RPO directed the District Police Officer (DPO) Attock to take necessary action. Similarly, Shehryar from Chakwal requested the arrest of a suspect in a case registered at Kallar Kahar Police Station, leading the RPO to instruct the DPO Chakwal for immediate action. Additionally, Muhammad Ashfaq from Rawalpindi submitted an application to remove his criminal record, for which the RPO directed the relevant committee to proceed with further investigation.
Various other petitions of different nature were also addressed, with concerned officers being instructed to resolve them on merit and submit reports within a specified timeframe. Speaking on the occasion, RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa emphasized that continuous efforts are being made to ensure immediate justice for citizens at the police station level, and the daily conduct of open courts is a step towards guaranteeing swift grievance redressal.
