Islamabad: CDA Mazdoor Union Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin Group secured landslide victory in the CDA referendum which was held here on Thursday.
Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin Group's election symbol Chand Sitara obtained 6,282 votes out of total polled 10,224 votes. Employees Union Pasha Group’s election symbol Lion obtained 3,406 votes, Labour Union Amanullah Group obtained 304 votes, and Workers Federation Shabab Bukhari Group obtained 232 votes. There were celebrations in Sitara Market following announcement of results.
Chaudhry Yasin Group was already favourite to win referendum which is held after every three years but the group got votes more than expectations. Amanullah Group and Shabab Bukhari Group have already been eliminated.
