ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday extended the interim bail of Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, along with Alia Hamza, Zartaj Gul, and other accused in 15 cases related to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) November 26, 2024, Islamabad protest.
During the hearing of a total of 86 interim bail applications filed by PTI leaders the previous day, Salman Akram Raja, Shoaib Shaheen, Taimur Jhagra, Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Ali Bukhari, Falak Naz and other accused appeared in the court of ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Supra.
Lawyers Sardar Muhammad Shujaat Khan Advocate, Amna Ali Advocate, Ansar Kayani Advocate and others also appeared in the court.
Applications for exemption from appearance were filed on behalf of Bushra Bibi, Alia Hamza, Zartaj Gul.
Advocate Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry took the stand on behalf of Bushra Bibi that she is in jail and cannot appear in the court. The investigation officer of the case was asked to interrogate Bushra Bibi in jail.
The court extended the interim bails of Bushra Bibi in cases no. 713, 995 and 1193 till March 7, and extended the interim bails of Case No. 1195 filed in Karachi Police Station Company till March 12.
In Case No. 1195, the bails of Bushra Bibi, Alia Hamza, Salman Akram Raja, Ali Bukhari, Sher Afzal Marwat have been filed. The court has extended the interim bails of the PTI leaders nominated in Case No. 321 Secretariat Police Station till March 12.
In Case No. 321, the accused Sher Afzal Marwat, Shoaib Shaheen, and Ali Bukhari have filed bails. In Case No. 1769, the interim bail of the accused in Khanna Police Station was extended till March 17. In Case No. 1769, the bails of Bushra Bibi, Salman Akram Raja, and Ali Bukhari have been filed. In case number 1033, the interim bails of the accused in Kohsar police station have been extended till March 17.
In case number 1033, the bails of Bushra Bibi, Alia Hamza, Salman Akram Raja, Shoaib Shaheen, Nadia Khattak, Rauf Hassan, Abdul Qayyum Niazi, and others have been filed.
The court extended the interim bails in case number 714, Margalla police station until March 20. In case number 714, the interim bails of Bushra Bibi, Salman Akram Raja, Alia Hamza, Sher Afzal Marwat, Abdul Qayyum Niazi, and others are under hearing.
In case number 1032, the interim bails of the accused in Kohsar police station have been extended till March 21. In case number 1032, the bails of Bushra Bibi, Salman Akram, Nadia Khattak, Omar Ayub, Zartaj Gul, and others have been filed. The interim bails of the accused named in Police Station No. 1222 Aabpara, Police Station No. 933 Tarnol, Police Station No. 544 Secretariat have been extended till March 24.
In case No. 974, bails of Alia Hamza, Bushra Bibi, Sher Afzal Marwat, Zartaj and Shoaib Shaheen and others have been filed. In case No. 1222, bails of Bushra Bibi, Zartaj Gul, Sher Afzal, Alia Hamza, Salman Akram Raja, Abdul Qayyum Niazi and others are pending.
In case No. 933, bails of Bushra Bibi, Shoaib Shaheen, Nadia Khattak, Rauf Hassan and others have been filed. In case No. 544, Bushra Bibi, Shoaib Taimur Jhagra, Sher Afzal Marwat, Sher Ali Arbab, Falak Naz, and others have been nominated. Cases have been registered in Police Station No. Kohsar, Secretariat, Margalla, I-9, Aabpara and others.
