Islamabad:After installing IT labs in 50 government schools across the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has planned to extend the initiative to 30 more educational institutions in the region within two months.
An official highlighted the significant strides the ministry is making in equipping students with essential technology skills and said the installation of IT labs had provided students with access to modern digital tools and thus, helping them build the necessary skills to succeed in today’s digital world.
“We're not stopping there. In the next two months, we’ll be adding 30 more schools to this initiative, bringing even more opportunities for young minds to explore the world of technology,” he said.
The official said the ministry’s efforts to integrate technology into education reflected a broader strategy to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital age.
He said by empowering students with the necessary tech skills, MoFEPT aimed to help create a workforce ready for the future. "This initiative is seen as a crucial step in transforming the education system, ensuring that students in Pakistan are equipped to thrive in an increasingly tech-driven world," he said.
