KARACHI: As many as 11 national sports federations have submitted their audited accounts for the year 2023-24 to Pakistan Sports Board.
Earlier, nine NSFs submitted their audit reports to PSB in response to the board’s letters in this regard. Now, total 20 NSFs followed the orders of the PSB while Pakistan Tennis Federation, Pakistan Volleyball Federation, and Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation submitted only bank statements to the board.
According to details, the Winter Sports Federation Pakistan received donations of 16,525,737 rupees in 2024 against 7,040,663 rupees in 2023. The federation had the balance of 15,387,818 rupees at the end of June 30, 2024.
The donations included 5,550,000 rupees from Pakistan Air Force, foreign remittance of 7,609,737 rupees, and 3,366,000 rupees from Pakistan Olympics Association in 2024. The grant received from POA was actually Olympic Scholarship to M Shabbir and M Abdul Karim. The notable expenditures of the federation in 2024 included 1,000,000 rupees for national ice sports competition, 250,000 rupees on training, and 2,300,000 rupees for players’ compensation.
Pakistan Sailing Federation’s income in 2024 was 5,415,745 rupees including 2,250,000 rupees from NSC, 1,000,000 rupees from PSB, and 200,000 rupees from POA. The federation’s income was 8,264,059 rupees in 2023.
The federation is yet to receive 3,750,000 rupees from NSC which includes 24,000 rupees from GHQ, 60,000 rupees from Air Headquarters, 60,000 rupees from Army Water Sports Centre Mangla Dam, 72,000 rupees from Army Yatching Club, 36,000 rupees from DA Marina Club, 36,000 rupees from PAF Yacht Club, 12,000 rupees from PYSA, 138,000 rupees from Sindh Sailing Association, 48,000 rupees from Wapda, and 498,000 rupees in terms of grants.
The federation’s notable expenditures included 5,245,658 rupees for Asian Games and 800,000 rupees on foreign coach for Optimist Class inland training. The total expenditures stood at 8,169,482 rupees in 2024.
The Pakistan Rugby Union’s income was 36,433,723 rupees from grants, sponsorships, and membership fee and 2,362,628 rupees as other income. The total income of the union was 38,796,351 rupees and total balance was 8,898,049 rupees in 2024.
Pakistan Karate Federation received special grant of Rs 200,000 from Pakistan Olympics Association and registration fee of Rs 285,000 from players in 2024 while the income of the federation was 488,000 rupees against 34,781,000 in 2023.
The federation’s expenditure stood at Rs 20,179,206 on the notable account of tournaments/championships (Rs 3,695,100), coaching courses (Rs 1,652,875), participation in SA Karate Championship (Rs 1,938,110) and Asian Karate Championship (Rs 1,426,334), and Olympic scholarship for athletes (Rs 6,890,930).
The expenditures of Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association stood at Rs 3,760,693 in 2024 against Rs 3,909,445 in 2023. The expenditures of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation stood as Rs 39,508,503 in 2024 against Rs 8,741,697 in 2023. Some notable expenses included 35,933,171 rupees on training and sports activities and Rs 1,625,783 on travelling while the federation received 4,000,000 rupees from PSB.
The income of Pakistan Badminton Federation was Rs 29,689,699 in 2024 against Rs 11,005,583 while the expenditures stood at Rs 21,141,151 in 2024 against Rs 8,266,440 in 2023 including Rs 919,263 on national events and Rs 18,150,253 on international events.
The Equestrian Federation of Pakistan’s total income in 2024 was Rs 16,900,169 against Rs 17,354,072 in 2023 while total expenses in 2024 were Rs 18,454,425 against Rs 18,163,146 in 2023. The balance of the Alpine Club of Pakistan at the end of June 30,2024 was Rs 1,373,114 while the expenses in the year 2024 were Rs 8,509,562.
