Late on Tuesday night, reports were circulating of arrest of Muhajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) chairman Afaq Ahmed.
According to sources, the Landhi police arrested Ahmed in Clifton for allegedly making provocative statements. Earlier during the day, MQM-H chairman had demanded that those arrested for protesting against traffic accidents in the city be released immediately. He had further said that water tankers, dumpers and heavy traffic should be stopped from plying in the city during daytime. Meanwhile, he also appealed to the people to protest but not to set fire to trucks or torture drivers.
