ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday disposed of a petition against a Pemra notification subjecting the participation of defence analysts in TV programs to approval by the ISPR.
The court was told that the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulator Authority (Pemra) had already withdrawn its notification concerning the matter.
Justice Babar Sattar heard the case filed by petitioner Inaamur Raheem Advocate.
The court said after the withdrawal of the circular, the petitioner was satisfied, hence the petition was disposed of. Earlier in December, the court had suspended the Authority’s notification.
