A glimmer of hope

After a devastating assault on Gaza, the ongoing ceasefire has given hope to many. The arrangement has so far paused Israel’s merciless genocide, which destroyed countless lives. However, after so much destruction, the ceasefire has brought a glimmer of hope to the affected people. This hope may lead to support from powerful countries and international agencies for relief and rehabilitation efforts. It is important for the global community to emphasise and pressure both Israel and Palestine to respect and implement the ceasefire.Without a lasting ceasefire, peace will remain difficult in Palestine. After facing so much destruction, people need relief. The United Nations and other international organisations should recognise the need for peace between these two countries. To prevent future conflicts, the ceasefire must be enforced. Global powers should work towards Palestine’s prosperity and sustainability, rather than allowing Israel to cause further destruction. This ceasefire, though temporary, provides a moment of healing for Palestinians who have suffered greatly.
