A man and a boy were killed after a speedy Mazda wagon hit their motorcycle in Nusrat Bhutto Colony on Saturday.
The wagon struck the motorcycle near the Rangers checkpost in North Nazimabad’s Nusrat Bhutto Colony within the limits of the Shahra-e-Noor Jahan police station, resulting in the deaths of 25-year-old Usman, son of Nadeem, and 12-year-old Atif, son of Saleem.
Upon receiving reports, police arrived at the scene and transported the bodies to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.
SHO Abid Shah stated that the driver responsible for the accident fled the scene, but the police seized the wagon and shifted it to the station. Following the accident, enraged citizens attempted to set the vehicle on fire, but police dispersed them.
The deceased were residents of Nusrat Bhutto Colony, and after the completion of formal procedures, their bodies were handed over to their families. The search for the fugitive driver is underway.
