KARACHI: In the seventh round of the President’s Trophy Grade One, OGDCL defeated KRL by 29 runs.
Ghani Glass defeated defending champions SNGPL by 5 wickets. This is SNGPL’s sixth defeat in this tournament. The match between WAPDA and Eshal Associates ended in a draw.
KRL had been given a target of 230 runs to win against OGDCL at the UBL Sports Complex. They started their second innings today at 140 for three but the entire team was bowled out for 200 runs. Imran Rafique scored 56 runs.
Mushtaq Kalhoro continued his excellent bowling form with 6 wickets for 82 runs. Thus, he took 9 wickets in the match. Mohammad Umar took 4 wickets for 62 runs.
Chasing a target of 368 runs against WAPDA at the NBP Sports Complex, Eshal Associates managed to score 195 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at the end of the match. Mohammad Sudis scored 56 runs. Danish Aziz played an unbeaten innings of 50 runs.
Earlier, WAPDA declared their second innings at 246 runs for 9 wickets. Khalid Usman could not complete his century by just 7 runs. Tahir Hussain took 3 wickets. He had taken 9 wickets in the first innings. Ghani Glass was given a target of 176 runs to win against SNGPL at the State Bank Stadium. He made the required score for 5 wickets. Sharjeel Khan scored 57 runs with the help of 11 fours and a six.
Junaid Ali scored 38 runs and Hammad Butt scored 36 runs. Yasir Shah took three wickets.
Earlier, the SNGPL team was bowled out for 340 runs in the second innings. Haseebullah Khan scored 94 runs. Saifullah Bangash played an innings of 62 and Yasir Shah played an innings of 40 runs.
