This Kashmir Day (February 5) Pakistan showed its support for and solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). To mark the day, lots of banners, posters and flags were displayed. There were also SMSs and ringtones highlighting the desires of the government and the people for a free and sovereign Kashmir. There is no denying that public awareness campaigns are necessary but strengthening diplomatic efforts at the United Nations is far more crucial for addressing the Kashmir issue.
This involves engaging with member states, building alliances, and presenting a compelling case for the implementation of resolutions. Diplomacy requires consistent and strategic engagement, which can yield long-term benefits.
