The mother of Mustafa Amir, a young man who was murdered in Gizri, has called for action against South Investigation SSP Ali Hassan for defaming her son. In a video statement, she stated that the SSP had repeatedly told everyone that her son was a criminal. She said the officer should explain for whom he was working.
"SSP Ali Hassan never listened to me or understood that my son was missing. It was the police’s job to find out where he was if he was truly missing," she said and demanded that the SSP be dismissed from his position and a case be registered against him along with Armughan, the suspected killer of her son who later burnt his body in Hub.
Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) has decided to contact the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for technical assistance in the murder case. It has been reported that a letter would be sent to the FIA to aid in investigating Armughan’s digital currency and call centre business
Authorities say Armughan had not been using his bank accounts. The investigation officer of the case, Muhammad Ali, told The News that police had approached the Sindh High Court for Armughan’s remand. He expressed the hope that police would obtain the remand.
Some reports also circulated that the CIA police had contacted Interpol to bring back a girl named Ramsha Shahid from the United States in connection with Amir’s murder. However, an investigating officer stated that there was so far no clear evidence of her involvement in the case and police had not officially contacted Interpol regarding this matter.
