KARACHI: Pakistan’s top cueists Mohammad Sajjad, Mohammad Asif, and Shahid Aftab maintained their strong performances at the ongoing ACBS Asian Men’s Snooker Championship 2025.
On day three, Mohammad Sajjad displayed excellent form, defeating Saudi Arabia’s Ayman Alamri 4-1. The frame scores were: 67-57, 68-33, 73(56)-7, 70-83, and 73-46. In another match, Sajjad triumphed over Hong Kong’s Fung Kwok Wai 4-2 in a thrilling contest. The frame scores were: 101(65)-25, 75(58)-0, 79(63)-30, 50-75, 48-77(71), and 63-52.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Asif continued his dominant run by beating Iran’s Siyavosh Mozayani 4-1 in a one-sided affair. The frame scores were: 70(57)-31, 12-55(53), 76(75)-39, 85-36, and 76(76)-0. After the round-robin matches, all three Pakistani cueists have qualified for the knockout round, where they will compete in today’s crucial matches.
