RAWALPINDI: Two head warders of Adiala Jail have been dismissed from service for corruption and misuse of authority.
DIG Prisons Rawalpindi Region, Abdul Rauf Rana, has issued the order. According to officials, head warders Muhammad Arshad and Muhammad Safdar were found involved in corruption. The order stated that the head warders were unable to present any evidence in their defence. Prisoners had filed complaints against the head warders for their involvement in corruption.
An inquiry against them was initiated in January 2025. Both head warders were assigned to the prisoners’ kitchen and search duty.
The order further stated that the Directorate of Monitoring found them involved in taking bribes from prisoners. Both head warders were found guilty of violating discipline and the law.
