ISLAMABAD: Security has been put on a high alert in Islamabad, while a red alert has been put in place at the Police Lines Headquarters.
Traffic has been closed on the roads adjacent to the Police Lines and special checkpoints have been set up all around. Unannounced security of police and other law enforcement agencies has also been increased in the federal capital. Interestingly, Inspector General of Police Ali Nasir Rizvi has been organizing a daily Iftar dinner at the marquee in the Police Lines since the first of Ramazan, in which people from different walks of life, apart from police officers, are invited. However, after security check, they are provided with Iftar.
Special arrangements are also made for Maghrib prayers in the marquee. On Wednesday, a large number of journalists were also invited to the Iftar.
