LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Lt-Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmed has directed immediate distribution of the fourth installment amounting to Rs1.16 billion recovered from the accused in the Eden scandal.
NAB Lahore Director General M Ahtram Dar said the distribution process has commenced and will be completed before Eidul Fitr. He said the compensation amount, based on the official records, was being transferred directly to the victims’ bank accounts.
The NAB Lahore director general said special desks have been established in the office to facilitate the victims and expedite the distribution process.
The NAB Lahore office will remain open on Saturday and Sunday to ensure continuous and seamless distribution of the compensation cheques, he added. He said the NAB Lahore has introduced a pick-and-drop (shuttle service) within NAB premises to facilitate senior citizens on priority basis during the holy month of Ramazan.
