ISLAMABAD: The four-day meeting of Central Selection Board (CSB), chaired by Chairman Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), concluded on Friday.
More than 150 officers of different cadres were recommended for promotion to Grade-20 and 21. The 4-day CSB meeting, held from March 11 to 14, recommended promotion of more than 500 civil and police officers to Grade-20 and Grade-21.
The recommendations compiled by the Board meeting will be given final approval by the Prime Minister, after which notifications regarding promotion, posting and transfer of each officer will be issued by Establishment Division.
The Board’s meeting reviewed promotions of all services, groups and ex-cadre officers to Grade-20 and 21. On the last day, CSB recommended promotion of 11 officers of Pakistan Administrative Service from Grade-20 to 21 and 40 officers from Grade-19 to 20.
The officers of Pakistan Administrative Service, who have been recommended for promotion from Grade-20 to 21, include Muhammad Amir Jan, Muhammad Nawaz, Captain (retd) Zafar Iqbal, Azmat Mahmood Khan, Mrs Saulat Saqib, Noreen Bashir, Lieutenant (retd) Islam Zeb, Dr Sajid Mahmood Chohan, Humayun Khan, Waqas Alam and Muhammad Hanif Channa.
The 40 officers of Pakistan Administrative Service, who have been recommended for promotion from Grade-19 to Grade-20, include Member Admin CDA Talat Mahmood Gondal, Sameer Ahmed Syed, Commissioner Quetta Hamza Shafqat, Saima Ahad, Muhammad Umar Masood, Khawar Kamal, Salman Ghani, Muhammad Ayaz, Amara Khan, Dr Asif Tufail, Amara Amir Khattak, Shahzad Fazal Abbasi, Shahzeb Khan, Muhammad Zaman, Javed Ali Jagrani, Danish Afzal, Talha Hussain Faisal, Nasir Ahmed Memon, Maryam Kayani, Sara Rashid, Imran Hamid, Kulsoom Saqib, Hamida Ikram, Fazal Haq, Zubair Ahmed Channa, Flight Lieutenant (retd) Asim Ayub, Zaheer Abbas, Muhammad Abdullah, Amir Khattak, Kiran Khurshid, Muhammad Saleem Afzal, Sahibzadi Wasima Umar, Benish Fatima Sahi, Shamir Khan Bhutto, Dr Syed Bilal Haider, Captain (retd) Muhammad Anwarul Haq, Sajid Mohsin Panhwar, Joint Secretary Naila Baqir, Lieutenant (retd) M Shoaib Khan Jadoon and Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti.
Deputy Solicitor of Ministry of Law and Justice Rizwan Zafar has been promoted to the post of Solicitor in Grade-20.
Rai Muhammad Akbar, Director, Directorate of Workers Education, has been recommended for promotion as DG in Grade-20. The CSB approved recommendations for promotion of 10 professors and principals from Grade-19 to 20 on the fourth and final day of the meeting.
Principal Ghulam Hussain Sahu has been recommended for promotion as Deputy Director General of Federal Directorate of Education, Dr Saeed Ahmed and Muhammad Saeed as professors of Model Colleges in Federal Directorate of Education, Shazia Shamim Rizvi as Professor of Model Colleges in Federal Directorate of Education, Lubna Mahmood, Mehreen Ashraf, Umm-e-Rabab, Nusrat Bashir as Senior Headmistresses of FDE, Saira Malik and Asia Khan as principals of Islamabad Model Schools, FDE.
Officers of Ministry of Health, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Defense Production have also been promoted.
Chaired by Chairman FPSC Gen (retd) Akhtar Nawaz Satti, the CSB meeting held after a gap of one year and seven months.
Senator Sadia Abbasi, Senator Saleem Mandviwala, MNA Javed Hanif Khan, Secretary Finance Imdadullah Bosal from Punjab, retired Grade-22 bureaucrat Rabia Javeria Agha from Sindh, Secretary Maritime Affairs Division Zafar Ali Shah from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, retired Grade-22 officer Ghiyasuddin from Balochistan and retired Secretariat Group Grade-22 officer Pervez Junejo, Secretary Establishment Division Inamullah Khan Dharejo, Secretary Cabinet Division and all four provincial chief secretaries were nominated as Board members.
