The increasing crime rate in Pakistan has become a serious concern, posing a threat to public safety and stability. From street crimes like mobile snatching and theft to more organized crimes such as kidnappings and armed robberies, citizens live in constant fear. Urban areas, in particular, have seen a sharp rise in criminal activities, leaving people feeling unsafe even during daylight hours. Several factors contribute to this alarming situation, including unemployment, poverty, lack of education, and an ineffective justice system. Many criminals go unpunished due to weak law enforcement and corruption, which only emboldens others to follow the same path.
The absence of proper surveillance, especially in densely populated areas, makes it even easier for criminals to operate without fear of being caught. The government must take immediate action by strengthening law-enforcement agencies, ensuring proper patrolling, and installing surveillance systems in high-risk areas. Additionally, creating job opportunities and investing in education
can help address the root causes of crime.
