KOHAT: The Halal Food Authority conducted a major operation on Indus Highway under the supervision of Deputy Director Kamran Yousafzai, targeting milk supply vehicles and local meat shops.
During a checkpoint inspection, authorities collected milk samples from supply vehicles and tested them on-site. A tanker was found to have adulterated milk mixed with water. As a result, the contaminated milk was immediately disposed of, and the responsible persons were fined.
Additionally, the Halal Food Authority carried out inspections of meat and chicken shops across the city to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
The operation aims to ensure the provision of pure and healthy food to the public, reinforcing strict action against food adulteration. Authorities have warned suppliers to adhere to quality standards or face legal consequences.
