Girl hit to death by tractor being driven by her father

LAHORE: A four-year-old girl lost her life after being hit by a tractor near Valencia Town Gate No 12, on Sunday.

According to initial details, the girl's father was driving the tractor when she suddenly came behind it, resulting in the fatal incident. The victim was identified as Tayyaba, daughter of Tanveer.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man was killed after being hit by a speeding vehicle at Jinnah Hospital underpass on Sunday. The victim was identified as M Lateef, son of M Yousaf. According to reports, Lateef was crossing the road when a rashly-driven vehicle ran over him, resulting into his instant death. Police shifted the body to the morgue.

2,235 arrested

for violating anti-kite flying act: Punjab Police registered 2,187 cases and arrested 2,235 persons for violating the Anti-Kite Flying Act across the province.

Around 424,167 kites and 14,635 spinning wheels were recovered and challans of 1,876 cases were submitted.

Last year, 12,525 suspects were arrested and 11,866 cases were registered across the province.

Biker arrested

on Ring Road: Police arrested a bike rider for riding a motorcycle on the Ring Road in Sundar area.

A case was registered against the bike rider Muhammad Ali on the complaint of Patrol Officer Shabbir Khan.

Abduction case registered: A 29-year-old man, Saad Saeed, was reportedly kidnapped in the Civil Lines area under mysterious circumstances.

According to reports, Saad had left his workplace earlier in the day but never made it home, sparking concerns among his family. Saad’s father, M Ahmed Saeed, has filed a formal complaint with the Civil Lines police, which has led to the registration of a kidnapping case. Authorities are trying to trace Saad’s whereabouts.
