LAHORE: Pakistan’s women’s football team has officially entered the race for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026, joining 33 other teams in Asia’s top competition.
The qualifiers, set to take place from June 23 to July 5, 2025, will determine which teams secure a spot alongside hosts Australia, and heavyweights like China, Korea Republic, and Japan.
The team’s participation had been in doubt due to financial struggles of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF). The AFC Women’s Asian Cup itself will run from March 1 to 21, 2026, across three Australian cities—Sydney, Perth, and the Gold Coast.
