ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain has extended the interim bail of former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi in the cases registered on November 26 protest.
During the hearing on the pre-arrest bail application on Monday, Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi appeared in the court along with his lawyers Sardar Masroof Advocate and Murtaza Tori Advocate.
The court extended the interim bail of Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi and said that it will decide the applications of all the accused by combining them.
Qayyum Khan Niazi said that there are false cases against him, he is the former prime minister of AJK. Sardar Masroof Advocate said that his client was being subjected to political revenge due to his association with a political party. His client is the first former AJK PM against whom terrorism cases have been filed.
The court extended the interim bail and adjourned the further hearing till May 5. A case has been registered against Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi in Kohsar Police Station under terrorism provisions.
