ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday extended interim bail of Bushra Bibi till May 5 in two cases registered in connection with the November 26 protest held by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
During the hearing conducted by judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain, the former first lady’s lawyers — Sardar Shushet Khan, Amna Ali and Ansar Kayani — filed pre-arrest bail applications in the two cases and sought Bushra Bibi’s exemption from appearance in the said cases. Subsequently, the court extended interim bail of PTI founder Imran Khan’s spouse in both the cases and adjourned the hearing till May 5. The cases are registered against Bushra Bibi in Khanna and Kohsar police stations.
