Snatching incidents have been a persistent issue in Karachi. In the first two months of 2025, Karachi reported 2,806 mobile phone snatching incidents, averaging 48 incidents daily. Additionally, 12 citizens were killed, and 41 others injured during robbery resistance during this period.
These statistics underscore the need for enhanced law-enforcement measures and community awareness to combat the rising incidents of snatching and street crimes.
