LAHORE: DIG Faisal Kamran, while providing an overview of Lahore Police’s accountability measures over the past 11 months, revealed that 355 officers and personnel have faced departmental penalties for corruption, abuse of authority, misconduct, and negligence in duty.
Among them 17 officers were dismissed from service, two clerks were forcibly retired and eight officers faced salary deductions as a major punishment.
The penalised personnel include inspectors, sub-inspectors, assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs), head constables, constables, and clerical staff.
