PESHAWAR: Attorney General’s Office in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) witnessed major changes after Deputy Attorney General-1 Sanaullah Khan was appointed as the new additional attorney general of the province.
According to a notification issued by the Attorney General of Pakistan’s Office, several officials of the Attorney General’s Office have also been removed from their positions while several new names have emerged for various slots. Sanaullah Khan has been assigned the new responsibilities as the Additional Attorney General of Pakistan for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Similarly, Gohar Rahman Khattak, the provincial president of the People’s Lawyers Forum Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, would serve as Deputy Attorney General-1. Muhammad Atif Nazir, affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, has been appointed as Deputy Attorney General-2, while Akbar Yousaf would serve as Deputy Attorney General-3. Similarly, new appointments have also been made for the positions of Assistant Attorney General of Pakistan. Barrister Rahat Ali Khan Nahqi has once again been appointed as the Assistant Attorney General of Pakistan for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Other newly-appointed Assistant Attorneys General include Ashfaq Khalil, Faseehullah, Taimur Khan, Farhad Ali and Ashfaq Ahmad.
