LAHORE: A blame game continued in the Punjab Assembly on Friday as both Treasury and Opposition continued leveling accusations of victimisation against each other.
The session, which was held with the Deputy Speaker in the chair and later Chairman of Panel Sami Ullah Khan announced its adjournment, witnessed heated discussions. Speaking on the floor, Ahmad Khan Bachar, the Opposition leader, said that oppressive tactics could not suppress the PTI and it would come to power again. Provincial Minister Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman said the PTI should not forget what it did to the opponents while it was in power.
Meanwhile, legislators in the House took part in the discussion related to the upcoming budget and the outgoing fiscal year. Mumtaz Chahang of the PPP demanded prime focus on agriculture. Raja Shaukat Aziz Bhatti of the PMLN claimed that Maryam Nawaz had led Punjab like a visionary leader.
